I, of course, don't have picture documentation for all of the celebrations, but here's a breakdown of the events.
- Cake and balloons in Arkansas with Meme and Pawpaw, followed by birthday shopping at Wal-Mart. This was the first time that Rylan was able to shop for presents on his own. He left with a doctor kit, a guitar, a Mr. Potato Head, and 2 big balls...one for him and one for bubba.
- Dinner at Palios and cupcakes with Nana, Poppa, and Gamma. He received a Buzz Lightyear suitcase and rocket.
- Going Bonkers with Mommy, Daddy, and Bubba. We hadn't been to Going Bonkers since Rylan was 13 months old. Let me tell you, the boys LOVED it! And so did I! We had so much fun climbing through all of the "mazes" and going down the slides! Definitely want to go back there with friends!
- SuperBowl Sunday, the O's came over and watched the game. We also had the birthday cake that Rylan had helped make and decorate. He wanted a "Happy Birthday, Jesus" cake...which meant double layer round cake like we had made at Christmas. He wanted it to say, "Jesus Loves Me!" Of course, by the time he and Emme were done adding sprinkles, you couldn't even see the writing!!
- He received a Toy Story shaving kit and Sesame Street memory game from Emme!
- As a special treat, Emme spent the night with us following the SuperBowl party.
- Monday morning, I decorated Rylan's door with streamers and balloons.
- For breakfast, he had the traditional cinnamon roll with a birthday candle.
- That morning, we went to Pump It Up in Frisco. We had a Groupon for the Toddler Pop In playtime. I think the kids had an "okay" time. But, it was pretty crowded and a little overwhelming for them. The bounce houses were still a little big for them and they needed quite a bit of help! Rylan said that he liked Going Bonkers better.
- Next, we went to Stonebriar Mall. Nick joined us for a little while. We played, ate lunch, and rode the carousel.
- Next it was time to come home for naps.
- By this point, Rylan really just wanted to sit around and watch movies the rest of the day!
- After dinner, he opened his presents from Mommy and Daddy, a Thomas the Train, and the VeggieTales Pirate movie.
Rylan Kane...I need to devote an entire post to all of the things that you are saying and doing now that you are 3 years old, but in the meantime, I will just say that you are hilarious and sweet and handsome and funny! You are an absolute joy to us and we love you soo soo very much!!
